We are currently recruiting for a IT Systems Administrator to join the Aristotle Information Technology team. The System Administrator is responsible for providing technical support to end users and maintaining IT system.
Responsibilities:
- Provide superior support to customers and staff with application issues
- Diagnose and trouble-shoot a wide variety of hardware, network, and software problems
- Assist in the maintenance and upgrade Aristotle IT systems
- Monitor systems on a daily basis providing feedback to IT personnel
- Update and develop network documentation
- Assist in the development of training programs
- Assist with companywide security programs
Requirements:
- 2 (or) 4 year degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or related area
- 4 years in a technology role
- Ability to support customer and staff with application issues quickly and efficiently
- Experience with the following:
- Windows Active Directory
- Windows Desktop 10 & Server 2012/2016/2019
- Experience trouble-shooting network connectivity, password resets, and other common desktop issues
- Experience with Microsoft Hyper-V
- Microsoft Power Shell
- Experience in Data Center or similar environments
- Backup software such as Veeam, Rapid Recovery, Symantec or similar.
- Should understand switching, firewall and general networking configurations
- Ability to run or trace networking cable and create new cables as needed
- Outstanding customer service skills including interpersonal, verbal, and written communication
- Experience with SAN or similar storage configurations such as HPE Nimble, Dell/EMC Unity.
- Must enjoy being hands on and diving into a range of issues such as running cable or working through new installs & configurations
- Must possess a patient, positive, customer-friendly attitude
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks; ability to multi-task; detail oriented
- Must be a team player
- Transportation is required
- Will be expected to work in the DC office on a daily basis and take regular trips to our primary data center in Reston, VA.
