‘Tis the Season – Helpful Hint #2 from Your Aristotle Support Staff

Labor Day has come and gone, we’ve attended- and for some of us, participated in- parades and fairs, the pools are closing, school has started, and already there are hints of Halloween. However, for most of us, our sights are set on filing reports and preparing for the coming elections, our busiest and most exciting time of the year.

One of the ways to help minimize the stress in the future is to start preparing now. While there is still some time before the big crunch, take a look at the little things to make sure they don’t become big things later on. Here are a few ideas:

  1. Any duplicate records that could be combined? Are your contribution thank-you letters and emails formatted the way you like? Does your contribution page or website need any tweaking? A little database cleanup never hurt anybody.
  2. Try generating government and financial reports to make sure the financial aspect is appearing as it should. In fact, I have spoken with many clients who will generate government reports weeks or even a month in advance just to make sure things are on the up and up. Here in Support, we think that’s a fantastic idea. If there are any issues, the earlier we know about them the smoother the filing process becomes for all of us when the reports are due.
  3. Are there any staff members that are new or could use a brush up on the system? Keep in mind you have an unlimited amount of training and support.

As always, we’re here in Support if you need us.
