Aristotle's renowned Legislative Zip to District Match Data Set correlates all 9-digit ZIP codes to your legislative boundaries, thus permitting you to identify their legislative presence and to specifically target legislators. This legislative matching technique is considered basic to any grassroots efforts.

Aristotle has several avenues for making its data set technology available to our clients, depending on their needs. You can use the data to match a membership file, integrate to a website, or to just have the legislative district contact data at your fingertips. The coverage options (nationwide, states only, federal data only) of these data files can be configured to meet specific client data requirements - you won't have to pay for data you don't need!

Nationwide Coverage

DMDS is available for the entire nation or on a state-by-state basis, providing you access to the 8,269 US & State legislators. The Nationwide Data Set contains all of the nine-digit ZIP codes in the country along with their corresponding congressional, state senate, state house district codes, legislator ID codes and related legislator information for every US Senator, US Representative, State Senator, and State Representative.

Aristotle's nationwide Federal Data Set contains the district assignments and legislator information for U.S. Representatives only.

DMDS Website Look-Up

Launch your grassroots efforts by providing your members or website visitors the access they need to their district and legislator contact information. With integration of the DMDS data files to your website, users can visit your website and type in their address and zip+4 to obtain district and legislator contact information. Individuals can then send letters or emails or make phone calls to their legislative representatives to support your advocacy positions.

Legislative District Matching Services

Let Aristotle do the work for you! District Matching Services allow you to apply Aristotle's legislative district data set to your own constituent (e.g., members/employees) records without having to purchase software or perform any in-house data processing. Simply provide your data file to Aristotle's data processing team to be appended with a current +4 zip code extension, and then matched to all legislative districts and legislators. This service is available for either a one-time match or for multiple matches over a calendar term. We also provide a hard copy Summary Report of the match denoting the total number of records in each district, by state.

Custom Matching Services Available!

Aristotle also provides matching services for certain city council, county council, and school board districts. Please contact your Aristotle sales representative to discuss any such special requests.

Our data files are designed to work in multiple environments, including servers, desk top computers, and they are available in a variety of formats (ASCII, dBase, Excel) and on multiple media types (CD ROM, DBF or delieverd electronically). Additionally, the programs created to access the files can be written in almost any language.
