FEC Version 6.1 Filing Format Transition

The Federal Election Commission has recently announced updates to their electronic filing procedures by introducing the version 6.1 filing format.  To transition to the new format, the FEC is requiring all electronically-filing political committees to use a new format by January 2, 2008.  The change in format will affect all PACs, Campaigns, Political Party Committees, and others who file their fundraising disclosure reports electronically.
